Dinner & Dance at Our New Premises!
An Update From The Georgie Smedley Group
As you may have noticed, the Georgie Smedley Group has changed premises to a wonderful new site in Clacton-On-Sea! It has been a huge yet exciting change for all, and to honour the doors opening, we celebrated in style.
On the 7th September, the evening started with a tour of the new premises for our fantastic educators. Although there is still work to be done and lots to look forward to (including a beautiful new training room!), everyone was very excited to see where the HQ team will be working from now on.
Amy Martin said "It was such as great experience to be able to see behind the scenes of where they pick, package and process orders, as well as the new offices. I cannot wait to see it all once it’s done! It’s going to look amazing!"
After the tour, the educators met with the HQ team for an evening of eating, drinking and dancing! The dinner took place at My Big Fat Greek Taverna on Clacton Seafront, another Smedley family venture. It was fun for the whole GS team to celebrate together, a lot of them meeting face-to-face for the first time. "I had an amazing time getting to meet the rest of the team and to put faces to Instagram names!", said Amy Martin. Sophie Donaldson also added "We are all part of a fabulous team/family and through lockdown quite a lot of educators and ambassadors had been in contact with each other and spurring each other on, it was an honour to meet them in person! I was so taken aback by how friendly and inviting everyone was".
It was safe to say that the food and drinks went down a treat. The team got to try fun cocktails including the much-loved Porn Star Martini, and those with a sweet tooth enjoyed the new Candyfloss Fizz! The Greek had a fantastic atmosphere, making you feel like you are on holiday with the beautiful décor and authentic cuisine, which felt especially fun given the troubling times we have been facing. Sophie said "The generosity of dinner and drinks with the fantastic ambience of the restaurant was so exciting and created an evening I will never forget". Amy Martin added "We had such a great meal at the Big Fat Greek Taverna. Everyone made me feel so welcome, and I can’t wait for the next event (hopefully soon)".
It is unclear when the team will be able to come together again, but for now, it’s onwards and upwards for the GSG Family!
