Zoe has recently reinvested in the Gelish brand using the Trade Up Scheme, read her story as to why she came back to Gelish & what she thinks now.
"I’ve been a beauty therapist/nail tech for 6 years, and prior to this I worked in accounts for many years, although I’d always enjoyed having treatments and having my nails done. I then decided I wanted a change and went back to college and retrained for 2 years earning levels 2 and 3 in Beauty Therapy.
I then enhanced my new skills by completing some nail qualifications with the Georgie Smedley Group (previously Nail Harmony UK).
The training is second to none and thorough. You finish leaving confident to work on clients, with a knowledge of the chemicals and products you are using, unlike some of the one day courses which I’d previously attended.
After a few years I started hearing great things about a new brand which caught my attention, I loved the packaging and other nail techs were going crazy for this new product, I gave it a try and loved it!
However, a few months in, I had some clients saying their nails felt weak and some having strange reactions, I put it down to the client’s nails/lifestyles although I did begin to have doubts. I called the company who convinced me it was down to my prep/application which I reluctantly accepted.
Fast forward to 2020 and I hear rumours of things that aren’t great regarding manufacturing of the products and allergens. After researching and speaking to other techs I knew this product wasn’t for me!
So, I decided to go back to the product that made me love nails in the first place that I could put all my confidence in. I placed my order with Georgie Smedley Group and it’s the best decision I made! Excellent customer service and a product you can have absolute faith in, applies beautifully, fast curing times and most importantly, safe for my clients! I also have my favourite colour back, Don’t Break My Corazon!
