Read why Jessica came back to Gelish...
Jessica recently reinvested in the Gelish brand after being away for almost a year using the Trade Up Scheme, read Jessica's story as to why she came back to Gelish & what she thinks now.
"I first started using Gelish in 2012, I trained in nearly every Gelish system including ProHesion & PolyGel.
In 2019 after being influenced by lots of other brands I started to question if the Gelish Brand was right for me.
Another brand started showing their products. I went along out of interests at it was held in my town. I was told how amazing the products were, at a fraction of the cost and would make my business even better.
I heavily invested in their gel polish & version of PolyGel, even did their training. I thought everything would be great, a new start as such. For 8 months I tried my hardest to make it work, investing more and more money. But a pretty unknown brand in the UK market it was hard to sell, clients trust in a brand they know. I found it hard to get the ‘perfect set’ that I was happy sending clients out with, my social media dropped as I would only take pictures of nails I was happy to post in turn so did new clients and so did my confidence as a nail tech.
March 2020, I got speaking to Georgie who told me that PolyGel had been reformulated. I thought why not give it a go seeing as I was at my lowest and PolyGel was previously my favourite product.
It's embarrassing to admit that I had made a mistake, I believed a small brand telling me the grass is greener on their side. What I actually needed was a burst of creativity and confidence, a reminder that I’m good at what I do. I finally have that back, a product I love and a brand that cares about me & my clients!
I’ve since invested in a new Gelish lamp, more PolyGel & Gelish colours, I can’t wait to get back to work and show off the nail tech I know I am.
If you are thinking of moving to Gelish, or returning, do it. I second guessed myself for far too long and tried to put my pride before a brand that I actually believed in!"
Thank you for bravely sharing this journey Jessica, and we're happy to welcome you back with open arms. We look forward to seeing what you create with Gelish in the future!
